For nearly 50 years, Barrhead Travel has expanded from a traditional ‘bucket and spade’ travel agent to a multi-faceted travel group offering bespoke holidays to all corners of the globe.

We’ve gone from small beginnings in the Glasgow suburb of Barrhead to now being one of the UK’s biggest travel firms. With more than 800 employees and over 50 branches nationwide, our people remain at the forefront of everything we do as we set up our own in-house training facility and continue to promote youth employment through our apprenticeship scheme, which has gained government recognition.

Today, we are the recipients of a myriad of awards, most recently winning Best Cruise Retail Agency and Best Large Travel Agency in Scotland for 21 years running. We have also been recognised as one of the Best Companies to Work for during 2022.
